A large number of people have been asking questions about whether they need to show proof of double vaccination in order to be on a charter boat in the Perth and the Peel area.
BlueSun2 can now clarify, that as of 27 January, 2022, passengers boarding a charter boat vessel (in Perth and the Peel region) do not need to show proof of double vaccination, unless that vessel has a “Special Facilities Liquor License” or an “Occasional Liquor License”. This clarification was requested after reviewing the the “Proof of Vaccination Directions” and the “Proof of COVID-19 vaccination to expand state-wide from Monday 31 January“documents. The latter referred to licensed commercial boats where the term “licensed” refers specifically to certain liquor licenses issued to charter boats by the Department of Racing Gaming and Liquor (RGL). Additional to this,
Please note, most charter boat vessels do not have or need a liquor license and therefore, they are legally allowed to accept passengers that are not double vaccinated. However, BlueSun2, in keeping with the West Australian government’s “WA’s updated Safe Transition Plan from 5 February, 2022” is now encouraging passengers to get the double vaccination in preparation for other vaccination mandates that may likely be introduced in the future.
