Fishing and surfing at the Montebello Islands is about as good as you can get in Western Australia and BlueSun2's fishing and surf charters are the best.
The Montebellos provide an enormous choice of fishing experiences, for this is an aquatic paradise of more than 220 islands that are fed by the warm Leeuwin current. It is home to more than 150 species of coral and a rich bounty of turtles, reef fish, whale and dugong. Of course, snorkelling is absolutely phenomenal and the surfing is rated as some of the best in WA, a 'must-do' on all trips.
When you get to the Montebellos, expect action and lots of it. It's explosive: popper fishing for giant trevally, coral trout, gropper and mangrove jack; fly fishing for queenfish and bonefish; trolling for tuna, Spanish mackerel, sailfish and marlin; red emperor, salmon, cod and snapper.
At BlueSun2 we offer live-aboard charters to the Montebellos that depart from either Exmouth or Dampier. They tend to last seven days though packages can be tailor-made to suit your needs.
